The client is a well-known REIT based in the DMV area seeking a new Managing Director of Industrial Real Estate Acquisitions. Candidates should have 15+ years of acquisitions, credit analysis, and asset management experience in the REIT or public/private investment industries with extensive experience in industrial assets.

Base pay $275,000.00/yr - $350,000.00/yr

Additional compensation Annual Bonus

Responsibilities

Partner with a variety of business units including Leasing and Development teams to drive deal flow by directly identifying new capital deployment opportunities (includes land acquisition and development, value-add redevelopments, portfolio and single asset acquisitions of

industrial

buildings) and support M&A and entity investments.

Develop comprehensive knowledge of all company assets, strategy, processes and systems.

Leverage existing relationships and develop new strategic contacts to generate business opportunities with potential real estate partners, private sellers, brokers, investment bankers, owners, developers, consultants, and high net-worth individuals.

Manage real estate professionals supporting acquisitions and asset management.

Develop and mentor a team of analysts and asset management professionals.

Assist the President in hiring new team members.

Responsible for P&L of the region.

Develop and execute regional asset strategies to maximize returns to shareholders.

Develop and prepare asset/business plans and projections for internal and external audiences.

Responsible for sourcing new investments.

Responsible for due diligence of new investments.

Responsible for financial models and investment memorandum.

Responsible for presentations to the Investment Committee.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15+ years of experience acquiring and developing

commercial/industrial

real estate with a focus on industrial properties.

Broad industry experience in acquisitions, entitlements and rezoning processes, project management, leasing, and development.

Strong background in underwriting industrial acquisitions including value-add opportunities with a proven track record of value creation.

Senior level experience working for a REIT or private/public investment group.

Seasoned in supervising and leading real estate and credit professionals.

Strong financial and credit analysis background. Proficient in underwriting investment-grade and non-investment-grade tenants.
