Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Material Warehouse Handler
to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the receiving, organizing, storing, and distribution of materials and products within the warehouse. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of operations, maintaining a safe work environment, and meeting the needs of production and shipping teams. Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
Safely receive, unpack, and store incoming materials and products. Transport and arrange materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare materials and products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in orders and on-time delivery.
Loading and Unloading:
Assist with loading and unloading shipments from trucks. Ensure proper handling to avoid damage and ensure safety.
Documentation:
Complete all necessary documentation related to incoming and outgoing materials, including packing slips, delivery notes, and inventory logs.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and safe equipment operation. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other warehouse staff, production teams, and managers to ensure the efficient flow of materials and minimize production delays.
Maintenance:
Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment and report any issues promptly.
Support Continuous Improvement:
Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous warehouse experience, preferably in material handling, inventory control, or a related field.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
Basic knowledge of inventory management and material tracking systems.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
