An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a self-contained elementary classroom serving students in grades K-2. This full-semester contract role is designed to provide focused, individualized instruction to a caseload of seven students. The position plays a vital role in fostering growth and development in a supportive setting tailored to meet each childs unique needs.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with educational standards and student goals Collaborate with staff and families to ensure consistent communication and student progress Maintain accurate records of student performance and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures academic and social development Qualifications: Valid teaching certificate in Special Education preferred; CE/CEAS Special Education certifications will be considered Certification must include authorization to teach K-2 grade levels Experience working with young children in special education settings is highly desirable Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered instruction Location: Elementary school setting in Lakewood, NJ This contract role provides a meaningful opportunity to impact early learners with special needs in a dedicated classroom environment.
