An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support an elementary school program in Frederick, MD, on a contractual basis for the current school year. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards. Collaborate with general education teachers to modify and adapt curriculum. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and related service providers. Maintain accurate records and documentation to comply with regulations. Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement. Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification. Experience working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting. Knowledge of applicable federal and state special education laws and regulations. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to use data-driven instruction to assess and support student learning. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
