Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs Deliver specialized instruction to elementary-aged students with disabilities Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a cohesive learning environment Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies to meet evolving educational goals Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations and policies Desired Qualifications and Experience: Valid state certification in Special Education Experience working with elementary school students with a range of disabilities Strong understanding of special education laws, classroom management techniques, and instructional strategies Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Commitment to student advocacy and personalized learning Location: Gaithersburg, MD (Elementary School Setting) This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during the school year within a supportive academic environment.
