Pay information: Base pay range $16.66/hr - $17.16/hr. This range is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. Other rewards vary by position and location.

General Purpose
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting Customers, following company standards, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be asked to perform additional tasks in various areas of the Store as business needs require.
Essential Functions
- Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in all activities.
- Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Treats Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; greets Customers and uses company recognition programs for fellow Associates.
- Assists Customers and is register-trained; answers Customer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner; greets Customers throughout the Store and thanks them at checkout.
- Provides prompt responses to Customer needs; handles issues courteously and escalates to Store Leadership when needed.
- Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
- Performs cleaning tasks and replenishes supplies to maintain a neat, clean store and well-maintained departments.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company dress code.
- Performs daily sizing and recovery tasks to ensure a neat, organized store that is well-merchandised to standards.
- Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandises items according to monthly presentation guidelines.
- Understands Loss Prevention programs, proper merchandising standards, and relevant store policies.
- Safeguards confidential information, cash, and merchandise; follows MOS policies for merchandise disposals as required.
- Follows all cash handling, transaction, and refund procedures; maintains accuracy in tender handling.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements / ADA
- Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs and registers.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
- Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
