Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas, including buildings and surrounding grounds, to identify individuals or conditions that may pose a threat to the safety and security of the Medical Center.
• Monitors and controls access by employees, visitors, and others, ensuring entry and exit procedures are followed to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
• Detects and reports hazardous situations or unlawful activities, whether directly witnessed or discovered through documentation.
• Issues warnings for rule violations and, when necessary, removes or detains individuals using appropriate levels of force.
• Responds to alarms and dispatch calls, assessing each situation and determining appropriate action within the scope of their authority and available information.
• Manages and interacts respectfully with individuals involved, securing the area and preserving any physical evidence as guided by protocols and supervisory direction.
• Interviews relevant individuals and obtains statements from anyone with knowledge related to an investigation, ensuring all information is clearly and accurately documented.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s license with a “good” driving history and no more than 4 points.
• High school diploma required
