Overview
Workday Security/Tenant Management & Reporting Analyst – Mount Sinai Medical Center
Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Workday Security/Tenant Management & Reporting Analyst to join our Enterprise Applications team. This hybrid role focuses on managing Workday security configurations and tenant management, while also sharing responsibilities in report development and support. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Workday security administration and a strong foundation in data reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Workday Security & Tenant Management
- Configure and manage Workday Security Groups, including Role-Based and User-Based groups
- Maintain and audit Domain Security Policies and Business Process Security Policies
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc Security Audits and User Access Reviews
- Manage security-related tasks within tenant environments, including migrations using Workday Object Transporter (OOT)
- Implement and monitor Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls
- Support User Provisioning and De-Provisioning processes in alignment with governance policies
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR)
- Provide guidance and documentation around Workday security design and ongoing maintenance
- Participate in testing and review of Workday’s bi-annual system updates and tenant refresh cycles as part of release management
- Partner with stakeholders across IT, HR, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure security aligns with operational and compliance needs
- Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop and maintain custom and delivered Workday Security Reports
- Collaborate with business units to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Diagnose and resolve reporting issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Support regression testing and go-live activities related to reporting changes and security updates
- Identify data inconsistencies and drive initiatives to improve data quality
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Contribute to tenant lifecycle management, including sandbox refresh coordination and testing support
- Drive continuous improvements in security and reporting processes through innovation and automation
- Document processes and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and team continuity
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience with Workday Security Administration
- Strong understanding of Domain and Business Process Security within Workday
- Experience with Workday migration tools
- Experience with Workday reporting tools (custom and delivered)
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro Certification in Security or Reporting
- Experience in healthcare or enterprise environments
Work Location
This position is hybrid with an expectation to work on-site as needed based on project requirements and team collaboration.
