Overview

Licensed Security Guard role at Andy Frain Services. Provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Security personnel must maintain a professional image and excellent customer service at all times.

Responsibilities

• Control of entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Patrol of buildings and perimeters.
• Escort of material and personnel.
• Inspection of security and fire exposures.
• Special assignments as required.
• Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
• Maintain professional image by greeting customers, visitors and employees politely.
• Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and information distributed by the customer and Andy Frain Services (AFS).
• Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position; report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts.
• Monitor cameras or equipment as outlined in post orders.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant job-related reports.
• Recommend safety and loss prevention improvements to management.
• Know life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems and related equipment; ensure safe operation of elevators and access doors; identify authorized contractor personnel for maintenance.
• Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other regulating agencies.
• Communicate daily with Security Supervisor about new security issues or changes.

• Ability to work hands-on, manage multiple priorities, and follow directions.
• Ability to facilitate progressive change, work as part of a team and demonstrate urgency.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
