As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. You will help create a secure and welcoming environment for all employees, visitors, and guests by performing patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and innovation.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wednesday 10:30 PM – 06:30 AM; Thursday 10:30 PM – 06:30 AM

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues
• Observe and report unusual activity or security-related concerns
• Maintain a visible presence to deter disturbances within the tech and media environment
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, hazards, or other security-related matters
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points
• Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner following Allied Universal protocols

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• Drug screen as permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only
