As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. You will help create a secure and welcoming environment for all employees, visitors, and guests by performing patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and innovation.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Wednesday 10:30 PM – 06:30 AM; Thursday 10:30 PM – 06:30 AM
What You’ll Do
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues
- Observe and report unusual activity or security-related concerns
- Maintain a visible presence to deter disturbances within the tech and media environment
- Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, hazards, or other security-related matters
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points
- Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner following Allied Universal protocols

- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- Drug screen as permitted by law
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only
