Overview

Trace Systems Inc. is seeking an energetic and engaged professional to join our Human Resources (HR) team. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day HR activities, including onboarding, offboarding, personnel actions, compliance, and employee relations. Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Process employment verifications.
  • Schedule and participate in new hire orientation.
  • Administer and execute HR programs, including transfers, promotions, change of status, and internal audits.
  • Assist in ensuring departmental compliance with ISO and CMMI requirements through audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Serve as HR Liaison on the Employee Engagement team; assist with coordinating volunteer functions, social events, educational content, and social media campaigns to engage and build community within the company culture.
  • Respond to employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors; refer complex or sensitive matters to the department manager.
  • Assist with employee relations investigations and counseling.
  • Maintain HR materials, HRIS, and the Human Resources SharePoint site.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies to ensure compliance.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and contract requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in government contracting, preferably with OCONUS employees.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn ADP Workforce Now.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, be flexible, motivated, resourceful, and organized for a multi-functional role.
  • Excellent diplomacy and judgment handling confidential or challenging situations.
  • Ability to adapt to change and act as a change champion.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Experience with ISO documentation requirements.
  • Professional HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or 6 years of experience required.
