Responsibilities

  • Supports overall information systems planning, implementation, and administration in a variety of IT functional areas.
  • Follows internal procedures and guidelines to troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Provides support to end-users, assisting with software and hardware malfunctions, setting up new equipment, and documenting and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Installs and configures software and applies patches or updates to maintain basic IT infrastructure such as servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Routinely tests and monitors IT system performance to ensure system security and reliability.
  • Supports the implementation of internal telecommunication systems, including voice, data, and/or video communication systems.
  • Conduct cost analysis to determine the best use of resources.
  • Collaborates with various internal groups and external vendors to ensure all installations meet specifications, ensuring the resolution of problems as they arise.
  • Requires basic skill set and proficiency.
  • Conducts work assignments as directed.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of helpdesk activities
  • Basic computer troubleshooting, diagnostic and problem solving skills on Microsoft / Apple platforms
  • Basic knowledge on installing, terminating, and testing low-voltage wiring
  • Ability to provide thorough, complete, and concise technical documentation
  • Initiative to remain up-to-date with industry trends
  • Capacity to make quick decisions when faced with issues like outages or backups
  • Occasionally lift heavy objects, ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel in/out of work state and work on the weekends if necessary
  • Valid driver’s license
