The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is a next-generation sawmill operator focused on sustainable manufacturing of dimensional wood products. TLM is in the process of designing a state-of-the-art sawmill optimal for producing high-grade dimensional products, with a focus on simplicity and fast construction.

Overview:

The Lumber Manufactory is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Supply Chain & Procurement Manager

to support sourcing and supplier relationship functions across multiple procurement categories, including build-to-print (BTP) and build-to-spec (BTS) hardware, equipment, tools, contracted services, and construction. The successful candidate will manage procurement activities throughout the product and project lifecycle, drive supplier performance, and ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives are consistently met.

This role reports directly to the VP of Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities: Source, negotiate, and procure a wide range of materials and services including: Build-to-print (BTP) and build-to-spec (BTS) hardware Capital equipment and production tools Contracted technical and professional services Facilities and construction-related procurement Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance against delivery, cost, quality, and compliance metrics. Lead supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding processes in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders. Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and production teams to align supplier capabilities with business needs. Create and manage purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks. Support and lead sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier agreements. Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve quality, and streamline procurement processes. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data integrity.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management. Proven experience procuring build-to-print and build-to-spec hardware. Demonstrated ability to manage diverse procurement categories such as equipment, tools, services, and construction. Working understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency with ERP systems and sourcing tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial sectors. Familiarity with contract review and negotiation. Familiarity with quality systems (ISO or AS9100, for example).

Start of salary range: $105,000

Work Location: Seattle, WA, in-person. This role is required to travel to Mississippi mill sites as needed.
