Supply Chain Analyst
to join our team and help optimize the logistics and transportation of raw metals across our global network.
Position Summary: As a
Supply Chain Analyst , you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating logistics operations to ensure the seamless movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This position requires strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics processes, and compliance regulations specific to the raw metals industry.
Responsibilities: Logistics Management Collaborate with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to optimize transportation routes and costs. Documentation & Compliance Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and import/export permits. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements. Communication & Coordination Act as a liaison between suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to support smooth operations. Provide customers with updates on shipment status, delivery schedules, and potential delays. Risk Management Identify and mitigate transportation risks such as supply chain disruptions and delays. Develop contingency plans in collaboration with relevant departments. Inventory Tracking Monitor and track inventory throughout transportation stages. Partner with warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory records. Cost Optimization Balance cost efficiency with service levels and delivery timelines. Evaluate and negotiate transportation contracts and carrier rates. Performance Analysis Analyze logistics performance metrics and implement data-driven process improvements.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in logistics, traffic coordination, or supply chain management—experience in physical commodities trading is highly desirable. Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software/tools.
