A nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate to join its expanding litigation team in the Chicago office. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on complex litigation matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview: The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative litigation group handling a diverse range of matters, including commercial disputes, product liability, securities litigation, trade secrets, and bankruptcy cases. The role offers direct client contact, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to work with clients in industries such as aerospace, energy, automotive, life sciences, and technology.
Key Responsibilities: Draft and argue motions, including discovery and dispositive motions Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses Manage discovery and large-scale document productions Collaborate with partners and clients through all phases of litigation Assist in trial preparation and support court proceedings as needed
Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing to practice in Illinois 1–6 years of experience in commercial litigation, product liability, or similar complex matters Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills Demonstrated ability to manage cases and communicate effectively Strong academic credentials and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $200,000 – $295,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications) Eligible for performance-based bonuses Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off Hybrid work flexibility
