A Vault top-30 law firm with a leading corporate practice is seeking a highly qualified Mergers & Acquisitions Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling sophisticated M&A transactions, particularly in private equity and strategic acquisitions, across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:
Advise private equity sponsors, public and private companies, and institutional investors on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other complex corporate transactions. Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, including purchase agreements, merger agreements, shareholder agreements, and other ancillary contracts. Oversee and coordinate due diligence processes. Provide strategic guidance on deal structuring and execution. Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups, including tax, finance, antitrust, and regulatory.
Qualifications:
J.D. from a top-tier law school. Admitted to practice in New York or eligible for admission. 3–6 years of M&A experience at a leading law firm. Demonstrated ability to manage significant aspects of transactions with minimal supervision. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Strong academic and professional credentials.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience working with private equity sponsors is strongly preferred. Familiarity with cross-border transactions and international deal structuring is a plus. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
