Position Overview The Public Sector Platform Architect (PA) in Impact at ServiceNow is a strategic technical leader responsible for guiding platform strategy, governance, and value delivery for public sector customers specifically in large-scale, compliance-driven environments. This role blends deep technical expertise with consultative advisory skills to ensure ServiceNow solutions are successfully deployed, governed, and adopted. The PA partners with Customer Success Manager, Customer Success Executives, Expert Service, Partners, and account teams to advise on enterprise-scale implementations, drive platform health, and deliver measurable outcomes across ServiceNow product families. The ideal candidate has proven experience leading ServiceNow deployments across ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, IRM, CAM, SPM, and ITAM, and has operated as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in complex federal environments. Key Responsibilities Serve as trusted advisor to public sector executives, shaping platform strategy, governance, and adoption at enterprise scale. Guide platform implementations ITSM (Incident, Change, Problem), ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Accelerate with Azure/AWS), Security Operations (VR, SIR), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Continuous Authorization Monitoring (CAM), SPM (Demand Management, Strategic Portfolio Workspace), and ITAM (SAM and HAM). Provide governance oversight for platform health, CMDB strategy, cloud discovery, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines. Translate technical concepts into business outcomes, advising senior leaders on roadmaps, compliance alignment, and value realization. Recommend leading practices, optimization opportunities, and innovation initiatives, including adoption of AI and automation capabilities. Collaborate across multiple business units, partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment, risk management, and operational readiness. Mentor and enable architects, administrators, and platform leaders, reinforcing technical excellence and consistent delivery. To be successful in this role you have: Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry. Required Skills & Qualifications ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) minimum; Certified Master Architect (CMA) strongly preferred Strong experience leading implementations and deployments across multiple ServiceNow product families (ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, IRM, CAM, SPM, ITAM) Familiarity with large-scale cloud discovery and integrations (Azure and AWS) Proven ability to govern and guide platform health, data strategy, compliance-driven environments, and large enterprise adoption. Strong consultative skills: able to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders with outcome-based roadmaps. Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical architecture into measurable business value. Excellent communication, executive presentation, and collaborative skills. Differentiators for Success Experience with large-scale environments (e.g., millions of CIs, multi-cloud discovery) Expertise in governance and compliance frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and enterprise architecture models (e.g., FEAF, TOGAF, BIAN) Ability to guide complex, cross-BU implementations with multiple partners and stakeholders Balance of hands-on implementation knowledge with advisory and governance leadership Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor at both technical and executive levels. For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $162,000.00-$264,000.00, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
