This opportunity seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential support services in a K-12 educational setting in Sacramento, CA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), working alongside licensed Occupational Therapists to enhance the therapeutic programs that support student growth and development.

Key Qualifications: Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Minimum of one year recent experience, preferably in school or pediatric environments Successful completion of a comprehensive background check Commitment to continuing education and professional development per state and district requirements Primary Responsibilities: Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in delivering targeted occupational therapy services Implement therapeutic activities and interventions tailored to students educational and developmental goals Track and document student progress, collaborating with OTs to modify treatment plans as needed Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices This role offers competitive weekly pay and includes healthcare benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus retirement plan options.
