A K-12 school in Stockton, CA is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide services within a school-based setting. This contract position spans the entire school year and focuses on supporting students across diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to K-12 students to enhance their functional abilities in academic and daily living activities.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive needs to recommend appropriate therapy goals and strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state regulations.
Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on students developmental progress.
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy.
Background in home health and healthcare occupational therapy services is advantageous.
Understanding of pediatric developmental challenges and therapeutic techniques appropriate for children and adolescents.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Ability to manage a caseload independently while maintaining documentation and scheduling.
