Bookkeeper/Office Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team. This is a long-term opportunity with a family company that values flexibility and teamwork. The ideal candidate will assist the Treasurer and President with various bookkeeping and administrative tasks. Accounting, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger, Reconciliation, Bookkeeping, Invoicing, Data entry, Payroll, Bank reconciliation, Month end, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel Accounting, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger Accounts Payable (AP): Oversee AP, pick and pay invoices, and process invoices received via email.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Perform weekly billing in Excel and Word, process AR payments daily/weekly, and enter AR invoices and payments in our Open Systems software.
General Ledger (GL): Work with the GL in Open Systems software, enter monthly manual entries, check totals for each GL account, process and post monthly information, and print monthly GL reports.
Yearly Renewals: Manage yearly renewals with ISNetworld and DCAM with the State of Massachusetts.
Administrative Tasks: Answer phones, type proposals, copy, fax, scan, and assist the bosses with various tasks as needed.
End of Year Business: Gather yearly information required for the accountant.
Pension and Insurance: Assist the Treasurer with pension paperwork and insurance audits.
Job Cost System: Track AP and payroll for each job and phase using our Job Cost system in Open Systems software.
QuickBooks: Utilize QuickBooks for payroll and other bookkeeping tasks.
Supervision: Oversee two part-time employees (Ann for AP and payroll paperwork, and Bob for AR and job site tasks).
Experience with bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Open Systems software.
Familiarity with QuickBooks is a must.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed. Entry Level The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
