Seeking a skilled workman for installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in basic building maintenance trades such as carpentry, framing, sheetrocking, plastering, and painting. Must be willing to travel to different buildings in Manhattan. Duties will include:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment
- Perform plastering and caulking to ensure smooth finishes
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on renovation and restoration projects
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on construction sites
- Assist in fixture installation and other maintenance person tasks as needed
Experience in residential construction painting is . Must own and have familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their safe operation. Knowledge of masonry, concrete finishing, stucco application, and renovation techniques will enhance your application. Job pays $30 per hour with the possibility of overtime.
