Role and Reporting

The Business Data Analyst role requires an inquisitive, analytical, and self-motivated professional to act as key liaison to the Commercial and Executive Leadership Team in planning and executing business strategy based on data driven results. Core responsibilities include gathering, cleaning, analyzing, interpreting and presenting data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that help shape future business decisions. The position focuses on financial and commercial data models but will provide support across the organization. The Business Data Analyst reports to the VP Finance/Treasurer and will interface with sales, marketing, client services, reimbursement, finance, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, analyze, interpret, and present data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Focus on financial and commercial data models, with cross‑organizational support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Executive Leadership teams to plan and execute data-driven strategy.

Education, Certifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Business or Finance related fields.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in analytics or consulting analyst role.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with data visualization tools like Power BI (Preferred), Tableau, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to independently write scripts/code using Python/Pandas (Preferred), SQL (Preferred), or other analytical coding language.
  • Expert Level knowledge with Microsoft Applications including Excel and PowerPoint. Must know pivot tables, joins (VLOOKUP and SQL), dynamic cell references, charts/graphs, and workflow diagrams. Working knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX Calculations.
  • Able to programmatically connect data sources via APIs or other automated methods.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and identify gaps or trends that impact results.
  • Proven problem solving, critical thinking and evaluation skills. Ability to learn new analytical skills with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to work with diverse personalities at all levels with tact and flexibility.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to facilitate meetings, ask questions, apply active listening, and design dashboards with complex information in a user-friendly manner.
  • Passionate about documentation; ability to create clear and reproducible documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize multiple projects.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Majority of work is in an office setting inside a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Occasional work outside to support employee events.
  • May perform activities in environments with hazardous elements requiring safety awareness and adherence to safety and GMP policies.
  • Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be present in the corporate office environment.
  • Ability to sit for a minimum of 6+ hours per day; ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including keyboards.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Build a Modern Data Stack/Analytical Infrastructure - Create end to end data pipelines, clean (ETL) existing data sources from APIs/CSVs/Databases, set up staging tables within databases and present data via Visualization Tools.
  • Data Collection - Gather data from various sources using Python/Pandas, build data mart tables, leverage APIs, and prepare data for analysis.
  • Analysis - Draw meaningful conclusions, prepare quarterly reports, analyze financial data, and forecast based on statistical models.
  • Data Visualization - Create dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Python.
  • Financial Analysis and Dashboards - Prepare financial analysis on new products, support special projects, and develop KPIs for Senior Leadership.
  • Variance Analysis - Research and automate variance reporting for cost and time.
  • Salesforce Opportunities - Re-architect data schemas, integrate CRM/eCommerce data, analyze patient loyalty trends, and report conversion data.
  • Sales Forecasting - Forecast sales by region, channel, and product division.

$64,500.00 - $70,000.00 plus 12.5% potential bonus
