Anticipated Wage: $20.62-$26.13/hr. This position is on a 4th Shift Schedule: Team B: 7pm to 7am SUMMARY: Lead packaging team, and grind line team when running, by communicating effectively with other Team Leaders, co-workers, and Supervisors; and maintaining a smooth product flow ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. Weekly Start-Up Check production schedule and set up line Ensure equipment is clean and ready to run Check customer specification sheets Turn the Robot on Set the printer and verify labeling with Lab Tech and Supervisor Set the box machine for proper run Check pick list for correct boxes and bags Meet Customer Demands Maintain product quality within customer specifications Verify customer specifications with Lab Techs Maintain appropriate moisture and sulfite levels Ensure all pallets are coded to Tree Top and customer specifications Make stencils and get approval from Lab Techs and Supervisors Communicate Effectively Monitor accuracy and efficiency of work performed Notify maintenance of equipment failure/problems/issues Exchange information with Lab Techs and Moisture Tech concerning product quality Exchange information with crew; provide effective leadership of crew Exchange information with Dryer and Utility personnel Consult with Warehouse Shipping & Receiving regarding Grind stock needs Communicate with Supervisors and Team Leaders Contact Supervisor when needing additional workers Perform appropriate transfer of information to next Team Leader at shift change Coordinate Crews Assign employees to work stations throughout the entire plant Provide training to new employees and temporary workers Problem-solve people and work conflicts Schedule break and lunch times for packaging team Monitor Packaging Process Monitor packing equipment, i.e. shaker, tape machine, and scales Monitor accuracy of item numbers and lot numbers Monitor accuracy/efficiency of work performed Ensure product quality Re-supply packing material as needed Deliver finished product to warehouse Relieve crew for breaks and lunches Track actual production vs. targets; explain variances Ensure all pallets are coded to Tree Top and customer specifications Clean Packaging Area As Required Perform clean-up on line as necessary Cover exposed equipment as needed Remove loose product from floor Comply with all safety procedures Wash packaging area Apply cleaning and sanitizing chemicals where needed Ensure that all chemicals are properly labeled Shut off Robot, printer, and case erecting machine Use air hoses to blow off dust from case erecting machine, robot, conveyor inside robot cage, and wrapper Complete Paperwork Accurately Follow recipes as needed Complete blend sheets and pallet tickets Check paperwork for accuracy and neatness Complete product out and re-work forms Complete product/material usage forms Record all variances completely and accurately on shift variance report and explain variances Maintain GMPs Organize crew to perform both ongoing and week-ending sanitation duties Delegate specific tasks to crew members Ensure cleaning procedures are followed
