Dental Assistant Full-Time- SOUTH MISSISSIPPI SMILES (GULFPORT)

CERTIFICATIONS: CDA or RDA required, X-raycertification preferred

SCHEDULE: DAY-DAY
PAY:Starting at $13.00 based on experience
BONUS PAY:up to $500 additional per month

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
- Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
- Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
- Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
- Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
- Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
