Dental Assistant Full-Time - SOUTH MISSISSIPPI SMILES (GULFPORT)

South Mississippi Smiles is offering a full-time Dental Assistant opportunity at our Gulfport office. We are an upbeat team looking for an individual who has a passion for helping others and wants to make a positive difference in their community.

Overview

Location: Gulfport, MS • Schedule: Monday–Friday • Job Type: Full-time • Compensation: Starting at $13.00 per hour based on experience • Bonus: Up to $500 additional per month

Certifications & Experience

• CDA or RDA required
• X-ray certification preferred
• Must have Dental Assistant certification

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc.
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., brushing, flossing, nutritional counseling)
• Ask about the patient's medical history and measure blood pressure and pulse
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following procedures
