What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for County staff needing IT assistance, delivering Tier 1 support such as password resets, phone and printer setup, and troubleshooting common software or hardware issues.
- Log, triage, and update service requests in the County’s IT ticketing system, escalating complex matters when needed.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, coordinating vendor communication, and assisting with departmental operations.
- Coordinate IT procurement processes, review invoices, and manage software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.
- Track and maintain accurate records of IT assets, contracts, inventory, and documentation.
- Support new employee onboarding by preparing accounts, configuring equipment, and ensuring access to required systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience in an administrative, customer service, or technical support role.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows OS, and productivity software (Microsoft 365).
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using IT ticketing systems and willing to learn new tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to County offices as required.
- Must be able to pass a background check as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a help desk or IT support role.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and procurement processes.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365 admin tools, or remote support applications.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) or ticketing systems.
- Ability to provide informal user training and technology guidance.
