Join a service company undertaking an automation upgrade project by installing robotic arms at a major facility. We are looking for General Laborers/Material Handlers to assist in this exciting endeavor. The role involves installing robotic arms, sub-stations, and fencing, using power tools, and managing materials with pallet jacks. Responsibilities
Install 20 robotic arms, approximately 40 sub-stations, and internal site fencing. Use power tools, push brooms, and run materials up elevators utilizing a pallet jack. Assist project teams by commissioning, cleaning the warehouse, and building robotic arms and stations. Move, strap, and catalogue materials with pallet jacks. Commission towers using hand and air-powered tools according to diagrams. Follow step-by-step instructions and run wiring for power supply of products. Essential Skills
Assembly and material handling experience. Proficiency with hand tools. Industrial general labor experience. Ability to consistently lift 40-50lbs. Experience working 8-hour days on hard cement floors. Good attendance and ability to follow directions. Blueprint reading skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Open to working in various positions including inventory, housekeeping, and robotics. Experience in general labor, construction, loading, packaging, and cleaning. Previous experience on relevant projects. Ability to work independently once trained. Perfect attendance and understanding of basic safety practices. Strong mechanical aptitude and reliability. Work in a large facility with multiple warehouse floors. The environment can be messy, loud, and crowded. Most tasks are performed on mezzanine and sub-mezzanine levels. The facility is a mix of AC and open air, so it can be hot in the summer. The work is very physical, requiring a lot of walking on cement floors. Safety gear such as high vis vests, safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, and steel toes are mandatory. The dress code includes jeans, composite toes, and T-shirts, but avoid loose clothing. Work hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break, totaling 40 hours per week. Job Type & Location
