Sanitation Technician - Afternoon Shift

Posted Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 4:00 AM The starting pay for this role is $18.75/hour. This position is based onsite at our Linden, NJ location. It will be a Afternoon (PM) shift. FreshRealm is seeking a Sanitation Technician in our Fulfillment Center to maintain building and equipment in proper sanitation condition, under the supervision of the Sanitation Manager, Supervisor, or Lead/Specialist. Key Responsibilities Clean building and equipment following a Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) Use a variety of Sanitation Chemicals effectively to complete assigned tasks Perform chemical concentration checks and verify results Correct sanitizer concentrations above Food Contact levels Recognize soil types and select appropriate chemicals for removal Use sanitation equipment safely Adjust and neutralize solutions based on pH levels Skills and Requirements Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn disassembly and reassembly of food processing equipment Excellent safety work habits Experience with OSHA programs Ability to obtain safety certifications within the first year Experience with PIT Equipment; certifications within 6 months Experience with Sanitation Chemicals; sanitation certificates within a year Clear communication skills, verbal and written Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment Teamwork skills Food manufacturing experience preferred Satisfactory drug and background screening Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays Experience / Education 1-3 years experience in food manufacturing preferred High School Diploma or equivalent What We Offer Benefits including medical, dental, vision, pet, and legal insurance 401(k) with immediate vesting Life and AD&D insurance Career growth opportunities Paid time off Our Values at Work We believe that
