Daybreak Foods, Inc. Description The starting rate for this position is $17.33, with incremental increases earned through developing skills and qualifications. This is a second shift position with hours that vary, roughly described as 3pm to 12am. Summary The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the egg processing equipment on a daily basis following the processing shift. The schedule will rotate: three days one week and four days the next. The Sanitation Technician reports to the Processing Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble processing equipment on a daily basis Work with chemicals, high-pressure cleaning equipment, manual scrubbing, use of a hose and simple mechanical tools Maintain training on the correct use of equipment, chemicals and their MSDSs Review sanitation chemicals with the supervisor including use, mixing, and appropriateness Responsible for record keeping/paperwork Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Maintain equipment and keep in good repair Other duties as assigned

Previous food plant sanitation experience is highly desirable Training for egg-specific equipment would be provided Familiarity with GMPs or equivalent practices is highly desirable

Ability to work independently Ability and willingness to learn several associated jobs Speak English and Spanish is highly desirable Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic math skills Knowledge of sanitation methods, chemical handling and use Knowledge of process control systems and food safety principles
Physical Demands
Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop; lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, water and chemicals. Temperature is regulated for operations standards; cooler temperatures in some areas. Moderate noise level. Proper personal protective equipment required. Compliance with GMPs (hairnets, clean clothes, etc.) is required in a food manufacturing environment. Seniority level
