Boston University FitRec is hiring Lifeguards to help keep our aquatic spaces safe, supportive, and fun. Join a vibrant, welcoming facility serving students, faculty, staff, and the BU community. Position: Part-Time Lifeguard Pay starts at $16.50/hour. Location: Boston, MA. In This Role, You Will Use preventative lifeguarding techniques to maintain a safe and welcoming aquatic environment. Educate patrons on pool rules and policiesand enforce them with professionalism and respect. Deliver excellent customer service to all pool users. Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies in or around the pool. Participate in all scheduled staff trainings to keep your skills sharp and up to date.
Required Certifications
Applicants must hold one of the following current certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid (2017), or American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid (2024).
