Maintenance Machine Technician
Are you a skilled technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background? A local manufacturing facility is seeking a Maintenance Machine Technician to help keep production equipment running smoothly and efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery and facility systems. Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machines and facility equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Diagnose and replace components such as motors, bearings, belts, and gearboxes Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts usage Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and improve machine performance Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects Follow all safety policies and ensure a clean, organized work area Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred) 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting principles Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Basic welding and fabrication skills (preferred) Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various conditions (standing, climbing, confined spaces) Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Dependable with reliable attendance Understanding of cost impact related to downtime and repairs Comfortable using Windows-based PC software PLC troubleshooting and programming experience (preferred) Familiarity with Lean or 5S principles (preferred) What you'll get: Starting Pay: $24-26/hr DOE Paid Every Friday!
