Maintenance Manufacturing Technician

Overview Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc., a leading custom spring and wire form manufacturer in Pittsburgh, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team full-time. This position is critical to keeping our production equipment and facility operating at peak performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments, particularly with CNC machines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and computer-based troubleshooting. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC spring coiling machines, grinders, and other production equipment. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and computer-controlled systems, ensuring minimal downtime. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for equipment maintenance and repair. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues before breakdowns occur. Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to support machine performance and reliability. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records. Assist with facility maintenance, including electrical, lighting, and general repair needs. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Qualifications 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with CNC machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing computer-controlled machinery. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Basic welding, fabrication, or machining skills a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate’s degree preferred.
