ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide comprehensive support and guidance to Genesis Capital's Credit Risk Team and Credit Committee on early identification of troubled loans and direct the OREO process and foreclosure process in a manner that is both efficient and market sensitive. Collaborate in Troubled Loan Review to ensure appropriate identification and resolution of troubled loans and early identification of potential troubled loans. Provide valuable advisory resources throughout the entire organization related to sensitive credit situations and loan workout activities. Act as servicing officer for a Troubled Loan Portfolio. Meet with troubled loan customers regularly, monitor financial performance, establish action plans to address issues, monitor collateral value and condition, and provide ongoing diligence to mitigate loss exposure to GC. Interact with Credit & Risk Management and borrowers to better secure collateral, equity, or other assets of the borrower. Evaluate financial information, collateral, legal documentation, and other data to develop an aggressive and comprehensive workout strategy to ensure optimal loss protection to GC while maintaining regulatory compliance. Consult and work closely with legal counsel regarding collateral perfection and legal strategies to protect GC's interests. Provide regular reports and communicate findings to Credit & Risk Management, GC credit committee, and GC executive committee regarding individual loans and market conditions. Work directly with the Special Assets and Credit Risk teams on borrower and property cash flow analysis, proposing resolution action plans. Assist the Genesis Capital sales team as needed to resolve payment, maturity, covenant, or other loan issues requiring attention. Education and Experience

Master’s in business or finance preferred. 10+ years’ progressive relevant Commercial and Residential Real Estate Loan Workout and Credit Risk Management experience in a banking environment. Experience with complex legal issues and foreclosure laws across multiple states. Experience in private money or hard money preferred. Expert knowledge in complex commercial lending, construction, multifamily, and financial deal structuring. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of financial institution operations/systems and compliance/regulatory issues. Industry knowledge of credit and financial analysis, including cash flow, balance sheet, liquidity, and solvency analysis. Expert knowledge of credit underwriting policies, procedures, processes, collateral valuation, and documentation. Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications. Advanced leadership and independent thinking skills. Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to identify risks, conduct analysis, and provide concise recommendations. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, oral, and written communication skills. High confidence: ability to have difficult conversations as needed.
