Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities: Work safety in a facility and notify appropriate person of unsafe practices or conditions and follow up to ensure appropriate actions are taken. Troubleshoot, identify failed components and repair electrical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance functions. Work in a team environment including various and evolving facilities and maintenance tasks as defined by the supervisor. Installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems. Study blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine defective items and repairs needed. Visually inspect and test machinery to detect or prevent wear, misalignment, or other problems. Detect equipment malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors, and/or internal and external stakeholders as needed to diagnose problems or repair machines. Realign and adjust equipment and components. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery. Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment. Interact professionally with contractors on site. Communicate and escalate issues to leadership as needed. Qualifications: 2+ years experience working as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial environment. Experience working on electrical systems up to 480 volts. Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical concepts. Experience working with shop equipment, wood, metal, and/or sheet metal. Good trouble shooting skills. Able to climb and use ladders. Carry or maneuver 50+ pounds. Able to maneuver in confined spaces; twist, bend, stoop, or stand for long periods of time. Able to have manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination. Be able to be certified to drive a forklift. Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Outlook. App based maintenance or facilities software HVAC and Pipe Fitting experience a plus. Experience with boilers, Environmental Chambers, and CNC Mills a plus.
