The Maintenance Mechanic maintains equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance program, diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems and performs emergency and proactive repairs of buildings and grounds, equipment, and machinery while minimizing downtime. Education/Training: Certified/Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Basic computer skills OSHA 10 hours certified Mechanic and technical aptitude Work from blueprints and technical drawings Read precision instruments and gauges Capable use of hand and power tools, including pneumatic tools, cutting torches, and welding machines Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment PLC experience Key Job Elements: Mechanical Electrical Hydraulics Pneumatics Welding/Cutting Service/Repair of equipment Knowledge of LOTO and SDS is required Maintain equipment according to Preventative Maintenance program Repair emergency/reactive repairs of production equipment and machinery minimizing downtime Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, replace or repair parts to mechanical, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic components Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products Read blueprints, technical drawings, measuring devices Read and understand work order and record repairs correctly Understand service and repair manuals and apply constraints to repairs and modifications being performed Use oxy/fuel torch, arc welding equipment, and power tools Performs inspection of completed maintenance and documents results Completes and maintains paperwork for maintenance performed Assists in other work areas as needed and directed by the department supervisor Operate Forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment as necessary Comply with all plant safety and environmental regulations and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment Read and follow QWI and other work instructions necessary to properly assembly product Qualifications and Experience: Specific site qualifications and progression may apply, consult with local team Skill Level II 1-2 years of experience.
