We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects across the Greater Houston area. This individual will play a key role in managing job site safety, quality, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution to ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities for assigned commercial projects.
- Enforce project plans, schedules, and quality control standards in collaboration with Project Managers and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor work progress, ensure OSHA compliance, and maintain a clean and organized site.
- Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and work sequences to optimize productivity and minimize delays.
- Serve as the primary site contact for subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors.
- Maintain daily logs, submit progress reports, and assist with project documentation.
- Identify and resolve field issues in real time, escalating as needed to project leadership.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role in commercial construction (e.g., retail, office, healthcare, light industrial).
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and trades with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Strong working knowledge of construction safety practices, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in reading construction documents, blueprints, and schedules.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
