Job Opportunity: Laborer Journeyman
Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Journeyman that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts. The role includes loading and unloading equipment, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, leveling ground for scaffolding, tending mortar and grout, lifting, moving, setting, and shoveling mortar and grout, general cleanup and clearing of debris, placing, pushing, pulling, and shoveling concrete, and vibrating concrete. The Laborer Journeyman will also provide work direction and guidance to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentices, and effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. The position requires a completion of a two-year apprenticeship program, experience in construction, ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies, strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude and professional customer service skills, detail orientation, active listening skills, and effective communication. The base pay range for this role is $36.07 - $53.99 per hour, dependent upon union journey level classification. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
