Are you skilled with equipment operation and passionate about warehouse logistics and organization? If you enjoy a clean and efficient warehouse, this role involves managing loading/unloading of freight and contributing to a safe, efficient warehouse operation. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times. Manage cargo from incoming trucks by hand or with equipment (hand truck, pallet jack) or forklift. Verify and note cargo count and condition; decide to refuse or accept with notation. Record receipts on forms/log books and ensure proper documentation is attached. Sort cargo by account or destination and store in proper locations. Accurately label freight for destination. Perform forklift duties and learn to containerize basic loads. Monitor warehouse maintenance tasks (e.g., sweeping floors, storing equipment). WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; 13 years related experience; 1 year industry experience preferred. Credentials:
Forklift Driver Certification; valid state drivers license preferred. Skills:
Able to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds; ability to drive/operate heavy equipment; basic math (add/subtract/multiply/divide). Characteristics:
