Material Handler

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials and supplies. The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time in order to meet on-time-delivery goals. 1st shift hours are 5am-1:30pm. Essential Functions: Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes. Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipment Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s) Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work Issue critical materials to production cells Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts, as needed Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements Aid and/or backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks Ensure compliance with export compliance rules Any other task assigned by supervisor or management Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 0-1 year of relevant electronics manufacturing experience Knowledge: Warehousing and materials packing knowledge; Familiar with lean principles Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks; Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions; Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions; Math skills to perform basic calculations; Outstanding verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Office Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
