Sanitation Worker
Pay Rate/Range: $14.00
Hours:
M-F, 8am-6pm or 9am-8pm Location: Houston, TX Duration: 2 months +
Position Summary: The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe facility environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and product quality standards. This role includes cleaning duties throughout the facility, replenishing supplies, and supporting safety and sanitation programs. Key Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness of the entire facility, including production, break rooms, restrooms, and exterior areas.
Dispose of waste materials properly, including boxes in the compactor and trash collection throughout the facility and surrounding areas.
Sweep, mop, and squeegee floors as needed.
Wipe condensation from surfaces to prevent safety hazards.
Handle disposal of inedible product according to company protocols.
Clean and sanitize break rooms, including tables, chairs, countertops, microwaves, and other common surfaces.
Restock production supplies (e.g., hairnets, aprons, sleeves, gloves) and restroom supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels).
Report maintenance issues, such as leaky faucets or toilets, immediately to a supervisor.
Submit written reports on unsafe conditions or practices to management.
Actively participate in the companys safety program and support overall food safety and sanitation goals.
Perform other tasks as assigned or listed on the Master Sanitation Schedule.
Qualifications: Previous experience in sanitation or janitorial work, preferably in a food production environment.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
