Chemical Operator

As a Chemical Operator, you will play a crucial role in verifying written batch records, ensuring chemical inventory availability, and combining raw materials in mixing vessels according to batch specifications. You will also be responsible for sampling completed batches for Quality Assurance and making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality. Responsibilities include verifying written batch records as received by the Batching Department, ensuring chemical inventory availability prior to batching and staging accordingly, combining raw materials as written on batch record in mixing vessels, utilizing available line/filler rinsate totes for a given batch record, sampling completed batches for Quality Assurance verification, making batch adjustments as instructed by Quality Assurance regarding pH and percent active ingredient, monitoring and troubleshooting water systems in the area (de-ionized and soft water systems), inventorying excess batch after production in appropriate totes with proper labeling and weight declaration, rinsing batch tanks and assisting with filler rinses using appropriate totes, labels, and weight declaration, completing shifts end Tie Out Sheet area, taking inventory of batch tanks, controlling waste in area and transferring to holding tank, retrieving solvent and propellant tank farm readings for inventory control as needed, performing general housekeeping and spill control in the batch room area, and handling chemical raw material receiving and sampling in the absence of the Chemical Receiver. Essential Skills include 2-3 years of mixing and blending experience, 1 year of forklift operating experience, and proficiency in liquid and aerosol blending. Additional Skills & Qualifications include familiarity with GMP practices, experience with batching, compounding, and blending, and knowledge of SOP and batch record maintenance. Why Work Here? The position operates on a 3rd shift from 11pm-7am, with training provided on the first shift for one month. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, Missouri. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
