Local CDL A Driver
Airgas is hiring a CDL A Driver in Spokane, WA. This position offers a pay scale of $27/hr to $35.23/hr depending on hazmat experience, with a monthly bonus opportunity. The schedule is Monday-Friday with the occasional weekend. There is also a referral bonus of $1250. As the "face of Airgas", the delivery driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company provided tractor trailer, straight, or box truck. This position involves loading, unloading, delivering, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers. The driver is also responsible for performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining courteous and professional relationships with customers, making deliveries in a timely manner, safely strapping and unstraping cylinders, and making deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart. Required qualifications include a valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements, maintaining appropriate driver's license, medical card, and endorsements. The candidate must have no more than two (2) traffic convictions or two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years. They must also not have driven while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years, be able to work in a drug-free environment, regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment, and have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years.
