Active Top Secret Contingent upon award. Duties & Responsibilities
Document, file, update, and maintain all investigative actions in the PeopleSoft (PS) and SISPV SharePoint (SP) security systems. Research, investigate, resolve security concerns, and document findings following Federal Investigative Standards (FIS) Expandable Focused Investigation (EFI) Module. Complete Reports of Investigation (ROI) with a maximum 5% error rate and forward relevant information to the Adjudications Branch (SISPA) for final adjudication within established timelines. Collaborate and share information with internal/external stakeholders such as NGA Office of the Inspector General, Office of Counter Insider Threat, Office of Counterintelligence, Office of General Counsel, and Human Development. Collect and develop information from various sources, follow up to ensure timely action on CEP events. Prepare accurate, detailed, and organized ROIs with a maximum 5% error rate. Coordinate with sources to resolve missing or discrepant information, ensuring thorough attention to detail. Notify NGA filers regarding SFDP at specified intervals. Investigate and process CE/CV cases within designated timeframes. Access and apply the 13 adjudicative guidelines/areas of concern in accordance with FIS EFI, Federal Personnel Vetting Standards, and SEAD guidance. Perform other duties as assigned. Interview skills to detect anomalies and resolve issues effectively. Clear and concise writing skills. Positive, engaging communication skills. Excellent organizational skills to meet federal standards and timelines. Desired
Certification in Federal Background Investigator Training Program (FBITP). Certification as a General Investigator (GS1810 series). Minimum/General Experience & Education
High School Diploma. 7-10 years of personnel security background investigation experience. Note:
