National Capital Bank (NCB) is currently seeking a
Full-Time Deposit Operations Specialist for our Headquarters location on Capitol Hill.
There is a strong opportunity for growth in this position and at the National Capital Bank! This is a hybrid in-office and remote work position. Our Deposit Operations Specialist is an entry level and integral position in our Deposit Operations Department. Primary responsibilities are supporting the day-to-day operations of deposit operations department. Ensures all daily duties are completed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: Check Functions: As part of the team handles fraud disputes, charge backs, stop payments, encoding errors, returns, foreign check collection and Fed adjustments. Review all applicable reports. ACH Functions: Responsible for disputes, monitoring corrections, returns, ACH reclamations, ACH AFT setup, stop payment, etc. and that the ACH functional responsibilities are completed in compliance with the NACHA ACH rules, regulations and NCB policies and procedures. Reviews appropriate ACH reports. Transaction Processing:
As part of the team handles return item processing, unposted item repair, and posted exception processing. Daily review of Verafin module(s) for suspected fraud and reporting, escalating.
Department Support:
Handles typical department functions: ISC/CDARS, Lockbox, escheatment, document scanning and/or archiving to cold storage, etc. Assist and supports with Internal and External audits by gathering requested documents and/or records.
Qualifications and Proficiencies: Excellent communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills. Ability to follow policy and procedures. Ability to multitask. Reliability and dependability.
Required Experience: 6 months to Two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Required Education: A high school degree or GED is required. Experience with FIS Core Software and ACH transactions preferred.
Pay Range & Transparency:
