Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience in French pastry and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating delicious pastries and desserts. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that all baked goods are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food production guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other baking tools.
- Maintain a positive working environment by fostering teamwork and communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a pastry shop or restaurant or culinary setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking methods, and pastry techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations related to food handling.
- Proficient knife skills and ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not mandatory.
- Passion for culinary arts with creativity in dessert presentation.
