Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the BOH team with professionalism, mentorship, and accountability.
  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including prep, service, and cleanliness.
  • Oversee all stations (pasta, grill, veg) and ensure plating is beautiful, vibrant, and consistent with Barbuto’s ethos.
  • Collaborate with ownership and FOH leadership on menu development, seasonal specials, and events.
  • Manage ordering, vendor relationships, scheduling, and kitchen financial targets.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, organization, and team culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of progressive kitchen leadership experience, including sous chef or CDC roles.
  • Strong foundation in Italian-inspired, seasonal cooking.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, train cooks, and foster a positive, professional kitchen culture.
  • High standards of organization, cleanliness, and consistency.
  • A passion for mentorship, hospitality, and carrying forward Barbuto’s legacy.
