Overview
Remote - US; San Mateo, California, United States Backblaze is the object storage leader in the open cloud movement. We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Channel Marketing to lead our go-to-market (GTM) campaigns and partner marketing efforts across our growing channel ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs). You’ll develop and execute marketing strategies with MSP partners, distributors, and resellers, ensuring consistent engagement, lead generation, and revenue growth. Responsibilities
Develop and execute joint GTM strategies and quarterly marketing campaigns with key MSP partners to drive pipeline and partner-led revenue growth. Plan and manage channel marketing campaigns and events in partnership with distributors and resellers across sales territories. Define and track performance metrics for all campaigns and events, ensuring a minimum 4X ROI on marketing spend. Manage and optimize the channel marketing budget, ensuring strategic allocation and cost-effective program execution. Own and evolve the Backblaze Partner Portal experience, ensuring it supports marketing, enablement, and partner engagement objectives. Collaborate closely with sales, product marketing, and partner management teams to align messaging and campaign execution. Create scalable partner marketing programs, toolkits, and resources for the channel to drive self-service and repeatable success. Support partner onboarding and enablement initiatives through marketing content and co-branded campaign execution. The Right Fit
7+ years of experience in channel marketing, with a strong emphasis on the MSP ecosystem. Proven track record of building and executing GTM campaigns with MSPs, distributors, and resellers. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets with ROI accountability. Experience planning and executing partner marketing events—virtual, in-person, and trade shows. Familiarity with partner portal platforms and channel enablement tools. Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience in B2B cloud storage, SaaS, or data protection industries. Proven experience working directly with MSP partners to plan and execute marketing programs.
