REPORTS TO: Site Coordinator/Cook
JOB GOAL: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and serve food in a quick and pleasant manner. Assume responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods the supplies of food offered are replenished regularly. Assist in the clean up of the kitchen, serving areas and cafeteria. Perform major cleaning of refrigerator and storage rooms at intervals scheduled by the Site Coordinator/Cook. Assume responsibility for the storage and disposal of unused food. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwasher, slicer, stove and other appliances. Frequent physical effort demanded in walking and standing, lifting containers and trays weighing up to 50 pounds, while under conditions of some discomfort due to heat. May be expected to fill in other positions in the kitchen or cafeteria because of absences. Perform general cleaning and sanitation duties. Perform routine duties assigned in the kitchen, including the collection of lunch monies and recording of the number of meals sold, including milk. Make daily accounting of monies received, numbers of meals served, amount of milk sold, and prepare appropriate bank deposits.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School Year
2025-2026 HOURLY SALARY: Starting at $16.28 or more depending on experience
HOURS/DAY: 6.5 hours/day
