The Sanitation Operator role will be responsible for performing sanitation tasks, learnings and inspections to ensure Reno's Food Safety and Sanitation requirements are maintained and enhanced while being the contact person for sanitation on their assigned shift. The individual will also support Sanitation effectiveness by working with other team members to identify environmental monitoring concerns, continuous improvement opportunities in food safety/sanitation and work on projects to ensure Reno HVM consistently complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Sanitation Practices. Work Hours: Sunday - Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour + Midnight Shift Differential In this role, you will: Support the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) including accomplishing sanitation tasks and documentation of completion and status. Being on call for any sanitation concerns on shift apart from MSS duties. Inspecting and swabbing the production lines after sanitation/changeover and identifying any failures or gaps in the process. Working with QA tech to identify any food safety issues on the line and work on a root cause analysis. Being a key person for training/upskilling any operator on sanitation related tasks. Assisting in the sanitation process when needed. Communication to Sanitation Team Lead and Sanitation Manager or Designee regarding work completion Understand and suggest edits to SSOPs and forms to ensure all documents are maintained according to cGMP, regulatory and Clorox Quality Standards. Also, to execute corresponding procedures and helping to ensure storage of controlled documents complies with FDA and Clorox Standards Play key role in the maintaining the facility at audit ready state at all times. Ensure own training is kept current and regular communication to manager if concerns arise. Work with Ecolab Tech and other vendors on sanitation-related improvements and issues Be aware of and fully communicate risks to products, equipment, and raw materials to Department Manager Support environmental monitoring work under the direction of the Team lead and Sanitation Manager, involving swabbing of environment and equipment. Assists in sanitation and sanitary design projects and risks. Participate in GMP audits and be a member of the food safety team. Interface with Corporate Quality/Sanitation as needed. Participate in all plant and company safety rules, programs, and initiatives. Work with and foster a partnership with all employees on site. Perform any other assigned duties that fall within the scope of this job as assigned by the Team Lead or Sanitation Manager What we look for: 3+ years of experience working in a robust and sustainable sanitation program in CPG manufacturing. Previous relevant Sanitation or Quality experience required. Previous experience in food production or food processing environments is preferred but not required. Knowledge and general acumen of applicable allergen, chemical cleaning, cleaning validation and verification Ability to communicate with all levels with in the organization (Written and Verbally). Must have strong Interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have good organization skills and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards; recognized as a reliable, mature, self-motivated, and effective on-site leader. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to multi-tasking skills. Flexibility in scheduling to work different shifts and weekends if needed Able to demonstrate knowledge and ability in using the following computer programs: Microsoft Office Suite, Intelex, SAP, etc. Using available personnel, resources, tools, and information demonstrates the ability to investigate, and support actions to reduce risks to food safety and quality standards High school diploma or equivalent required. Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
