Key Responsibilities:
Controls Engineering
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs and other automation equipment.
- Support integration of manufacturing equipment with plant control systems.
- Ensure reliability and safety of control systems while minimizing downtime.
- Maintain documentation for PLC programs, control panels, and electrical schematics.
OT-IT Integration
- Connect shop-floor equipment and controls to ERP and MES systems for real-time data visibility.
- Configure and support industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
- Work with IT and business systems teams to ensure secure and reliable data flow between OT and IT environments.
- Support deployment of edge devices, industrial PCs, and data acquisition systems.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and IT teams to identify integration opportunities that improve efficiency and traceability.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices for industrial networks.
- Participate in system upgrades, audits, and compliance initiatives (e.g., data integrity, quality standards).
- Develop technical standards and procedures for control system and IT/OT integration projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field .
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, or OT/IT Specialist.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and industrial automation troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience integrating shop-floor systems with ERP/MES platforms.
- Strong knowledge of industrial networks, communication protocols, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience with SQL databases, SCADA systems, or data historians is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
